Pentecost Celebration

Worship like electricity fills the room,

People energised beyond self.

Glorifying the King above all kings,

The only one who is worthy of all praise.

Singing, dancing, shouting, praying,

With whole heart, mind, spirit.

Carefree and holding nothing back,

Worship fills the room as heaven meets this earth.

A people with nothing in the natural,

Surrendered, humbled and willing.

Giving what little they have,

Gaining what they can never lose.

Because it’s all about You,

It’s all about Your presence.

It’s all about You love,

It’s all for You, Jesus.

Without You, life has no meaning,

Without Your presence, only emptiness.

Without Your love, deep desperation,

And so to You I choose to give my all.

Ethiopia, Africa

Such beauty in the brokenness,

With extreme poverty all around.

Many are gripped by disease,

Lord, let your healing balm come.

Compelled by the depravity,

And motivated to se change,

I see a longing for salvation,

A softness in their eyes.

Am I ready to pour out all that I have

While being poured into at a rate I cannot contain?

I need a softening of my heart.

Melt me in the fire of your goodness O God,

Motivate me by your love

And compel me with your compassion,

With joyful anticipation, I await,

For you to come and show Your glory.

Final thought before Africa

Well, I am getting ready for an experience that is life-changing! It is amazing to think that I will be in a place that, as a child, I poured prayer and resource into. We are getting ready and are expectant for God to do many mighty things while we are there. I will spend 3 weeks in Addis and one week in the north. Praise God, all the finances I need have been provided for by God who is my provision (not simply a provider!)

Thank you to all who supported me finacially and in prayer. I am grateful for all your prayers over the next few weeks as we pack up and head out and return and then part companies for our home countries. I will be in Scotland from the 20th June.

May God bless you as you continue to follow His lead.

A season of feasts

This past week we celebrated Passover and two festivals, First Fruits and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. I asked a classmate what the Feasts were all about, she said:

God is a good God and wants us to have fun so he designated 7 seasons of holidays! Our family has celebrated the feasts for the past 10 years and seeing Yeshua in the feasts has impacted my life in such a positive way. The feasts are great because they are not tradition for traditions sake, they all point to our Messiah Yeshua!

A plea, a memory and a prayer.

Ethiopia is now three weeks away. Excitement grows in my heart. The focus on Monday is Ethiopia, learning Amharic words and songs. We are getting ready. I am humbled that I am able to go minister to the Ethiopian people. I want to be the arms of God stretched out to these precious people and I want to show them Jesus through my love for them. To be able to go on this outreach trip, I now need to raise £1000 by 30th April. Would you please pray about taking part in sending me to Ethiopia? Any financial donation would be a huge blessing to me. You can securely donate on-line at http://www.gatewaysbeyond.org/donate.php . Just be sure to designate the donation is to go towards Gwen Paget’s Ethiopia outreach trip. Or you can contact me or my parents for all other methods. The preciousness of going to Ethiopia to serve and bless the people there, for me is an answer to my childhood prayers and in memory of my mother’s brother who was laid to rest in 1968.
